———————————◊ Chord Palette Find names for chords ——————————— • Active Tones In the black box at the top of the window are all the tones in the Current Chord arranged in ascending order beginning with the root of the Current Key. Tones appear different colors based on their re- lationship to the keyscale and other factors. • The yellow tone is the root of the Current Key. • If tones appear red it means they can't fit into a fingering based on the size and position of the Chord Bracket. • Other tones are shown in white. • Chord Name The white box below the Active Tones contains the name of the Current Chord. The letter name depends on the setting of the Root Gadget and the position of the Scale Cursor. • The ABC / 123 Gadget In ◊ position the Active Tones and all chords appear with letter names. In ◊ position the Active Tones appear as functions of the Current Root and chords appear as functions of their respective keys. • Root Gadget The Root Gadget appears to the left of the Active Tones. Clicking the gadget toggles between ◊ and ◊ .
